2008 EMMYS BEST DRESSED

Best Dressed was a close call between Brooke Shields and Olivia Wilde, but Brooke's fuchsia Badgley Mischka Resort 2009 gown, with its ruffled asymmetric detail on the skirt, was beautiful and had a very romantic feel to it. She let her dress do all the talking, by keeping the accessories to a minimum.This is not an easy dress to pull off, but Brooke did with such style and grace

2008 EMMYS REST OF THE BEST DRESSED

Olivia Wilde always manages to look so stunning on the red carpet, and does so again in her Reem Acra gown.The dress is exquisite with its simple details, and subtle shade, that evokes the glamour of old Hollywood.She accessorized with Jimmy Choo heels, Stuart Weitzman clutch and Kwiat jewels.

Black can be very boring on the red carpet, but Debra Messing's dramatic Monique Lhuillier Spring 2009 strapless gown, was far from boring.The dress had lots of layers of embroidered tulle, which grabbed my attention, and really made her dress, stand out from the other black dresses on the carpet.She accessorized with Fred Leighton diamonds.
Mariska Hargitay's Carolina Herrera one-shoulder gown stood out the most on the red carpet.The colour was bold, vibrant and refreshing on the red carpet.She accessorized with Fred Leighton jewelry and Jimmy Choo heels.
A high profile red carpet event, is not complete without an Elie Saab dress.I loved the Elie Saab Fall 2008 Couture embroidered tulle dress Marcia Cross wore last night. The dress had a vintage feel to it, which played on her classic beauty.She accessorized with Rene Caovilla heels and Hearts on Fire diamonds.
Jennifer Morrison's Marchesa Spring 2009 gown was beautiful, as it had a princess quality to it, with its rich champagne colour, beautiful draping an train.The colour was exquisite on the actress, which she matched with peep-toes heels.

2008 EMMYS WORST DRESSED

When I first saw Christina DeRosa I thought it was Alyssa Milano. This white dress, with a fan collar, is shockingly bad, like it is a costume.The dress has a very Cher-like quality to it, which only gets worst with the white fan clutch, and the white platform heels.The make-up and the hair complete this unbalanced disaster.
I don't think the colour is right for Mary-Louise Parker with the Roberto Cavalli dress. With her pale skin, bright pink lips, jeweled straps and FRIZZY hair, its just a bad look from 1985's prom.
I Love Kathy Griffin but why does she tend to always get it wrong. The dress which she made from some curtains and the hair that she stole from some drugged out drag queen. Sorry to be harsh about it but she can do so much better.
Eva Longoria always shines on the red carpet, but I did not like her hairstyle - which I think she has struggled work with since the cut -nor do I like this Marchesa Spring 2009 flapper-style dress.I like that she opted for a cocktail dress, but this icy blue fringed dress, with the large embellished bow did not wow me at all. And if she is trying to shoot down the rumors of her being pregnant this is NOT the dress to do so.
Let me start off my saying I LOVE this Carolina Herrera Pre-Fall 2008 dress. It's very elegant on Jennifer Love Hewitt, but she completely ruins it with her pineapple updo.This is the kind of hairstyle you would sport to go to the gym.

HEIDI KLUM 2008 EMMYS HOSTING OUTFITS

Although the presenting between the reality TV hosts was not the best, Heidi Klum still shone through, with a series of amazing wardrobe changes at last nights Emmy Awards.She arrived on the red carpet wearing a stunning Armani Privé Fall 2008 gown covered in Swarovski crystals, with a cape. As you can see, the dress was a lot more risqué on the runway.
My favourite stage gown was this Christian Siriano Spring 2009 gown. Yes Christian Siriano. I love that she believes in the Project Runway winner enough to wear his design.The grey and the yellow tiered dress asymmetric dress, was simply breath-taking. And I am sure the designer, who was sitting in the crowd, was very proud of how well Heidi wore it.
Her next dress, was the most simple in design, but the most vibrant in colour. This cobalt blue Michael Kors Spring 2009 gown, really brightened up the stage
She then changed into a strapless ivory Valentino Fall 2008 Couture gown. The colour was fantastic on her, but I was a bit bothered by the ruffled detail.Her look was complete with large chandelier earrings.
For the Governor's Ball Heidi changed again into another Armani Privé Fall 2008 gown.On the plunge-neck dress, one half was satin, the other half adorned with Swarovski crystals. This dress was also modified from the runway version. The dress was completed with a black satin bow at the waist.

2008 EMMYS REDCARPET

Wow, you could have knocked me down with a feather when I saw how stunning Nicollette Sheridan looked in her purple pleated Angel Sanchez Fall 2008 gown.What a great event for her to turn down the tacky.I would have loved this look more, if her hair was put up in an elegant updo.
Like Vanessa, Sandra Oh managed to incorporate a trend into her look - lace.Her black silk organza and tulle Oscar de la Renta Resort 2009 gown, had a lace bodice, and a sash at the waist.Her hair was swept to the side with loose curls.She accessorized with Bulgari jewels, a vintage Chanel purse, and Chanel heels
Chandra is looking confidant and sultry in this cross halter black Tadashi gown. Her jewels are elegant and her cranberry colored clutch and shoes provide a rich pop of color
Some people might think it lacks imagination for matching items that you are wearing, but Tina Fey does it so well by matching this rich egglant David Meister sweetheart necklined gown, to her jeweld clutch.
Vanessa Williams' custom-made Kevan Hall gown was very much still on this summers floral trend.The jeweled detail on the strap of her dress, compliments her diamond bracelet and 3-drop earrings

2008 EMMYS REDCARPET

Julia Louis-Dreyfus' Narciso Rodriguez gown was elegant, with an added wow factor. I fell in love the second I saw it.The salmon coloured dress suits her complexion, and dress gives her a very sensual silhouette.The beaded bodice, and the keyhole detail make this dress stand out.Her diamonds were from Tiffany's.
Kate Walsh's Zuhair Murad mermaid gown was tiered with embellished details, and completed with a rose appliqué. The stunning dress gave her a delightful silhouette.The red haired actress carried a Jimmy Choo Kase oval clutch and wore Neil Lane diamonds to complete her look.
Kristin Chenoweth had the biggest and brightest smile, as she walked the red carpet last night.The multi-talented star wore a black Armani Prive gown, which had a cute bow detail on the front.As she walked the red carpet, I marveled at how her dress managed to stayed up.
For some reason I am always waiting for Lauren Conrad to wow me, and she never does.There is nothing interesting about her look, the self-designed dress, nor her hair. De Ja Vu.
Next to Mariska Hargitay's stunning vibrant yellow gown, Teri Hatcher's strapless ruffled Monique Lhuillier gown paled by comparison.

2008 EMMYS REDCARPET

Kyra Sedgwick wore a magnificent L'Wren Scott Spring 2009 white cocktail dress, which had crystals embroidered into the straps and bodice of this dress, for added va-va-voom.Kyra usually always wears L'Wren Scott, as the dresses are figure-flattering, sleek and chic.She accessorized with Fred Leighton jewels, and Jimmy Choo sandals.
I like a bit of bling on an Awards night, and i loved this neckline on Felicity Huffman's Reem Acra embellished gown. I LOVE her new hair too Lost actress Evangeline Lilly, has been missing from the red carpet for a while, so I had forgotten how stunning she can look.Last night she wore one of my favourite dresses from the Elie Saab Fall 2008 Couture collection.The paillette covered dress caught every beam of light, making this dress come alive with every step, as she posed on the red carpet.
Christina Applegate's looked quite regal, as her hair was swept back, allowing us to see her stunning jeweled earrings.The actress wore baby blue asymmetric Reem Acra Spring 2009 gown, with a gold print, and a stunning train.She accessorized with Lorraine Schwartz diamonds and Jimmy Choo heels.
I am sure many of you liked this vintage Werle dress, but I did not like it on America Ferrera. The length of the dress bothered me but still think she looks pretty.

"Sex and the City: The Movie" DVD Launch, New York

Unfortunately Sarah Jessica Parker's hair ruins this look for me. The front part with the bangs, looks like a hair piece which has been attached to her head, as it appears to be a different colour to her hair on the side.I love the smoke print Alexander McQueen Resort 2009 sheath dress, and I am sure the Marlboro lights loving Carrie would approve, but the hair...noooo.
Cynthia Nixon was very neutral in an all beige look, consisting of a satin pleated Calvin Klein Resort 2009 dress, and matching square-toe heels.For me Cynthia was the best dressed at this event, and that is not something I have ever said about her
I love the velvet eggplant Salvatore Ferragamo Fall 2008 suit and the chain-mail top, such a great look. But Kim Cattrall goes and ruins it by leaving her top open to expose her bra.Yes she wanted to steal the attention away from SJP, but was this the right way to go about it?I think not.

Dreamball 2008, Berlin

Eva Mendes' flirty sequin dress was a dazzling choice, but I just wish it was more form-fitting.

"Battle in Seattle" Screening, New York

Charlize Theron turned up the heat in her red hot satin one-shoulder Christian Dior dress, which she matched with Christian Louboutin bow heels.This is simply an elegant and stunning look for the actress. As we would expect.

LOOK OF THE DAY!!!

As seen on the runway. Be light years ahead in this Aminaka Wilmont leather jacket for $1,050. It is the perfect way to add a futuristic edge to this season's power dressing trend. Megan Fox puts the little into the term 'little black dress', as she walked the red carpet last night in a micro mini strapless dress.I like that she wore the black dress with a bright turquoise necklace.
Michelle Monaghan disappears from the red carpet for a short while, then reappears with a baby bump.The mother-to-be looks beautiful in her black beaded mini dress.
Rosario Dawson forest green Prada dress is certainly shows off her curves.I like the top part with the sheer panel and the embroidered detail, but the crushed bottom half, looks a tad messy.

"Lipstick Jungle" Premiere Party, New York

Brooke Shields sparkled in this amazing Badgley Mischka Platinum nude crystal beaded cocktail dress, which she wore with Badgley Mischka Couture gold platform sandals.Most definitely the best dressed at this event.
Lindsay Price wore Rachel Roy, but her dress was far more interesting with a white beaded bodice with a tulip black skirt.

Pussycat Dolls

Pussycat Dolls all arrived at the Capital Radio studios in a burst of colour.
Melody Thornton opted for a yellow plaid shirt, black jacket, shorts and booties.
Ashley Roberts wore a sunshiney yellow dress, with a large black waist belt and Jimmy Choo Glenys python sandals.
Nicole Scherzinger stood out in a red Zac Posen dress, with a cute bow detail, which Cameron Diaz has wore before.
Kimberly Wyatt wore a strapless Vivienne Westwood plaid dress, with knee-high lace-up boots
Jessica Sutta was wearing a bright orange satin 3.1 Philip Lim Fall 2008 to match her flame red hair.She wore her dress with a pair of Jimmy Choo Haze sandals, which have star embellishments.
Jessica is the best dressed here.

Selma Blair took the the red carpet at the Gothic Dark Glamour Book Signing Event, wearing a stunning black lace Chanel Resort 2009 dress.This body-contouring dress, has a nude underlay, and a patent black belt to nip in Selma's waist and give her a sexy silhouette.The actress wore her dress with a pair of YSL Trib Two Platform Pumps - which have a gold sole - plus she carried a cocoon shaped Chanel Fall 2008 clutch.Selma has worn a lot of black lately, but the event was titled Gothic Dark Glamour, so I guess this dress was very appropriate.
